Hey guys,
Just thought I would introduce myself. I am from Alberton JHB and just bought the first issue.
I have been looking at getting back into building after a couple of years. I have mainly been interested in GP bikes and have had a recent interest in F1 cars.
I saw the advert on TV last night and knew immediately that I had to get this.
Looking forward to my time over here as well as the build.

My other plan is to maybe do a bit of detailing on the Mclaren so I am in the process of collecting reference pictures etc and reading other build threads. I also want to try getting the steering wheel and do detailing on it. In the end my plan is to have the car, a detailed steering wheel, a figure of Lewis Hamilton and his helmet all in a display case. I am still in the planning phase of things and trying to figure out how everything needs to come together so that in the end I don’t have a display case that looks cluttered or any of the other objects taking away detail of the model. I don’t want to over do it. For now I have purchased 2 copies of issue 1 and I have subscribed at my newsagent to reserve the issues for me. The reason for 2 copies of the first issue is due to some damage to the paint on the right wing plate, the other reason is I am planning to build a wing on its own and display it separately (I have seen this on the Mclaren site or in the F1 Store) Like I have said I am just planning everything out at the moment and have a lot of ideas to work through which is a good thing as it will keep me busy while i wait to collect some more issues before I start building.
