How about a series of DaVincis inventions,recently watched a series on sky where 4 experts built his most famous designs to see if they actually worked.Not only did most work but they were real works of art.A model a month would be quite good as a series as well as an educational project,I was surprised to find a lot of children have never heard of the greatest inventor in the world! good news dontshoot I believe these are already manufactured as kits,just google di vinci models.
