Thanks guys, I've got some filler on the way so no painting till then. The island looks a bit rough and ready at the mo but it will look completely different once it's painted and filled.

The Hull, island and funnel railsAssembling the frame steps 1 - 4Next section of the hull completed, very straightforward and not problems there. I will be securing the hull to a build board but just not yet, as I see that this doesn't happen in the instructions until a little bit later. It will be done soon though, to stop as Tomick called 'the banana boat effect'.

OK! Here's the idea? I originally had a fanciful idea about super detailing the cockpit of the aircraft. This was of course until I saw the size. Now I realise in practical terms there is not a lot that can be achieved with a cockpit this small (If you would kindly refer to the picture above), but I would still like to do something. Any suggestions would be very welcome?

the only thing I could suggest is......stick the canopy on after you have put decals on and go and have a cup of tea(or something stronger)and feel proud you managed to get that far, because there is no way you can see anything inside the cockpit even after you have painted an ant's goggles and scarf. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

now their's a thought, stick a sugar lump on the agaki and stick it in the garden and watch them swarming all over might even start a colony on board.
