I am trying to get the blocks prerpared for securing the cannons to the bulwarks, I have taken a block, drilled a hole in the end and glued in a piece of brass wire with a hook formed on one end. I have then rebored through the hole where the thread is to go. At this stage I am quite happy with it, But I seems I also have to put thread or wire round the block as well in to the groove cut in the block. Any suggestion on how to do this ? Does the hook go in the end first or last.

Thanks Mo
