Putting the damper unit stages 3 and 4 together, middle section of crank is not in correct position when connected to rear supension unit. It is almost upright!

Have taken it apart a number of times, gone through each stage of putting together again looking at Tomicks images - all seems same, then when I screw to gearbox and connect suspension up goes the middle crank.

Any ideas on where I might be going wrong?

Help greatly appreciated - hopefully the images show the problem

Note - obviously not in the correct postion in the images, but even when it is, it's the same

Believe it or not, just after I posted this, went back and went through all again, and yes it was the middle carnk giving the problem!!!

You've assembled the units incorrectly.
If you look at yours, the 'outer' smaller cranks are curving outwards, away from the car centre line.
They should be curving inwards, the same as the larger cranks.
You need to disassemble them, and fit ALL of the cranks 'curving' in the same direction.
You can see this clearly in pictures 4 and 5 on page 13 of issue 44.
All the best, Roy.

I did pick up this problem several weeks ago, when I said that the spue that hold said parts should have been numbered, this is the first kit I have made that was not numbered, and thanks to tomicks close ups I was able to sort it right, and got hammered for being a beginner to f1 and didn't know how an f1 car worked.as it happened I was building f1 cars before that kid was born.so just crack on and keep trying, like me to get it right.
