I've already said this several times.......
I'm betting pretty firmly that Kyosho will NOT fix this problem.
(DeAg DON'T make this kit!!!!)
They sold God knows how many thousand in Japan before we even SAW the kit. They didn't fix the problem then, so what on earth makes anyone think they even CARE what a few dozen people on a forum think????
Do you really suppose Kyosho (who are WORLD FAMOUS for AWFUL customer support - try even FINDING an e-mail address for them!) are going to spend potentially VAST sums of money modifying an 18 month old kit, just to satisfy a few people here?
They will save FAR more money even if a few people demand a full refund.
Do you really think they will care in the slightest?
I'm NOT being defeatist.
I'm being REALISTIC.
The fact there's getting on for 1,200 messages here going back MONTHS says it all.
Also, the Deag 'fix' is being offered, as DeAg can back it up - they can supply spare parts. They CAN'T supply 'correct' parts because Kyosho won't supply them!
To fix this problem, there's the old maxim:
DO IT YOURSELF, and END this obviously POINTLESS thread!!!

Roy.

If you feel it is 'POINTLESS' why do you reply on here. Your comments are not helpful for the people on THIS THREAD so why are you posting here ? PLEASE GET OFF THE THREAD I STARTED and let the rest of get a satisfactory answer.

Yeti-Man, since the initial fix suggestion, Admin have posted the following message:

"We are waiting on feedback from Kyosho the manufacturer, and will be in touch as soon as we have a response. We do appreciate how frustrating this is for you, please do bear with us, so we can find you a solution for this issue that everyone is happy with.
Thanks
"

Just to reiterate, they are seeking a solution to this issue that everyone is happy with.

Whilst I apreciate your frustrations, can I ask that you mind your language.

Thanks

It doesn't take this long to issue a recall, they have not even acknowledge the fix does not work, so half the people are trying to get replacement part that make no difference, and customer services are still trying to worm out of sending replacements, Can't believe they hung up its totally unacceptable why does it matter if you subcribe or not, the parts are faulty..

Is this how they treat there paying customer. I just want someone to admit the fix is rubbish and there looking into another solution then I'll stop and wait. But there happy to sweep this away mark my words !!!!

Thanks Tomick, just some are a bit more impatient....I'm sure it will get sorted.

Okay guys n gals, can we now await the outcome from DeAgostini which hopefully won't be too much longer.

What we don't want is to have to resort to locking the topic or removing posts as a result of heated remarks etc.
Lets keep it civil and not churn the same points over and over unless there is something new or positive to contribute.

Your patience is much appreciated,

Thankyou

I'm on this thread because I'm PAYING for this kit LIKE YOU.
I'm only pointing out that Deag and Kyosho obviously aren't too bothered by the moaning going on here.
After God knows how many messages and God knows how many weeks, I would have thought it was obvious to anyone with an ounce of sense we aren't getting very far.
If I've touched a nerve with you, sorry - but DON'T take it out on me!
DeAg and Kyosho are the culprits here.
I'm just as sick as you.
I'm just being realistic and not hoping for what seems to be EXTREMELY unlikely at present.
HOPEFULLY I'll be proved wrong.
Roy.

Hate to tell you Roy but you are very wrong about DeAgostini and Kyosho not being bothered about this matter, please refrain from suggesting such!

Okay okay....I feel resposile for creating this thread and hope that this doesn't get into a swirling cesspit of words.

This was not intended and all I wanted at the outset was to see if it was only me with the problem and could it be sorted.

I appreciate Tomick being a referee regarding all of this......but I would like to stand beside Tomick and wait and see. I guess this is more complicated than it appears regarding a 'correct' fix.

The varnishing of new parts is not correct and I hope there will be a more easier solution.

Again all I want is a car that looks like the real deal and perhaps we can all await a solution.....that we all are happy with.

I do still want this to be at the top of subjects and to not die away....but it could easily if the posts get edited or deleted

Rest assured that only posts which breach forum rules will be edited or deleted which applies to ALL forum topics.

Can I remind members that posts should always be appropriate to the thread, and topics not be hijacked by irrelevant posts which contribute nothing to the subject matter.

I never intended to cause arguments.
If I've offended anyone, I apologise.
I've posted pic's and offered advice on how to re-finish the 'wrong' coloured wing, and HOPED that Kyosho sorts it out.
Perhaps, being on the thick-end of 50's, I've gotten a bit disillusioned with the EXTREMELY slow (substitute 'nothing') reaction from Kyosho themselves, and it makes me feel very negative.
As I've said a few times, DeAg don't make the kit, and they have at least offered a semi-fix that is within their powers.
I sincerely hope there will be a REAL solution, which as far as I can see, isn't new rear and front wings (which although satin, are the correct colour) but new side pods and body panels with the red colour applied over a white base, like the wings, and NOT over silver (as they currently are) which makes them look a horrible salmon-pink colour.
I really LOVE this kit - Please Kyosho, sort it out.

Roy.

If nothing else, I think the last barrage of irate messages here is only highlighting how people feel about this.......
To say we're getting 'a bit' fed up' might be a polite way of putting it.......

Skiddy has asked that this topic now be locked until DeAgostini are in a position to post an update which will hopefully be a solution that everyone is happy with. At which point the topic will be re-opened for discussion.

Please do not start another topic on the same matter as it will be deleted.

Thankyou
