My wife is pretty impressed with the build so far and I think she is happy that it keeps me quiet allowing her to watch what she wants on the telly . She's a Button fan through default of my obsession with F1 and I think she is secretly pleased with the idea that this model costs a fraction of the other 1:8th Amalgam models I have been drooling over , besides if I came home with one of those I would not live to actually see it . I have a lot of Hamilton's cars and we are quite a creative family so she does appreciate my obsession with this model and all its fine detail .

my missus is pretty cool with it, she's into F1, she's quite creative and appreciates the work and effort involved I just have to be very careful where I do my construction, we had a little falling out over a previous project When we had a flat I was building a 1:12 Ferrari FXX, to which I had to spray paint some of the body panels, I thought the dining table would be good for this, I'll make sure it's well covered Unfortunatly is wasn't, and I forgot about the tops of the chairs! So she came home from work that day to find black leather chairs with what I called a "snow effect"!!! chrisgo wrote:Wow Roy... You have done well.... She sounds like one in a million.. She really is a GEM. I'm now collecting together all the bits I need to 1/2-scratch build a 1/10 DBR9 - no complaints yet although I did have to do a bit of cringeing revently when my home-made spray booth (large open topped-and-ended card box in the kitchen, on the hob, under the extractor) didn't work 'quite' as well as I hoped. Well, I thought the red mist all over the worktops and floor looked quite pretty........ Roy.
