Well folks today is the day that we lost a true Champion at the Imola Circuit in San Marino just let all reflect if he had survived that terrible incident i'm well and truely certain that Ayrton would have bounced back and given Schmacher a run for his money!! GOD BLESS AYRTON SENNA DE SLIVA MAY HE FOREVER BE IN THE HEARTS OF THE TRUE AND FAITHFUL FORMULA ONE FANS!! AMEN

A sad day for F1 fans everywhere, but we should not forget that his was not the only death that weekend,Roland Ratzenberger also crashed & died during qualifying the previous day.
Ironically,on 1 May 1994, during the customary drivers' briefing, the remaining drivers agreed to the reformation of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association, with Senna, Gerhard Berger and Michael Schumacher as its first directors.
Ironic as it was also the day Senna died.
The Association subsequently pressed for improvements to car and circuit safety in the wake of Imola and other serious crashes during the 1994 season.
All in All the '94 season was a bad year for F1,but from the devastation driver safety became a major priority & no F1 driver has been killed since.
RIP
Ayrton Senna
Roland Ratzenberger
Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!
Current Builds:HMS Victory,SV Thermopylae

Recorded this at the time, didn't realise it was that long ago.

Rerun tape ( no dvd's ) and it looked like he had damage to his lid eg hole so guess it was a head injury. Amazing really they still run the weekend after Roland's death, but thats how they did it, not like the now namby pamby lets not race cos it's too wet.

Total freak accident. He crashed at an angle where the suspension penetrated the lid I think.

I still find it amazing how barrichello survived his crash that weekend. Was the most violent looking of the 3 crashes
