Hello everyone. As I'm finishing off my copper tiling (finally :) ) I have question regarding cleaning in before applying laquer. It looks dirty and patchy now and I need to bring shine back to it. What should I use to clean it? I've seen somewhere that lemon juice and table salt or vinegar and salt does the trick. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would be very wary of using certain cleaning products on your hard work, and avoid using a cream. A cream will deposit in the tile joints and make them look like grouting. Also be careful of how you apply any liquid so that it does not creep beneath the tiles, and depending on the type, again possibly ending up with a grout effect. If its just surface tarnish, then you could try a copper cleaning cloth.. http://www.miracle-cloth.co.uk/
Or Brasso wadding.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...amp;hash=item45fdd39cc5
Then use an alcohol wipe to remove any residue/grease from the surface, and use a tac cloth to remove any lint etc before applying your chosen lacquer, to seal the tiles and the shine. As with most things like this, its a good idea to do a test on some scrap before setting to work on your pride and joy
