hi all, i have finally been allowed loose on a model my brother has had for years now and never completed! it a tamiya 1/16th scale tiger 1, she is probably one of the biggest models i have undertaken!! please find attached pictures of some tools and the commander i have started! i will see if i can turn this build into a step by step but will have to see what time will allow!! ......any comments negative and positive are always welcome as others m ay have better ways of doing things than me with better effect! lol

Nice kit do you plan to use all the enhancments like the sound box and the radio control options either way it will make an impresive model just by its shear size at 580 mm long regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy yep this is the full option kit with light and sound :-) i would love one for myself but its a bit costly :-P

Nice one with the full kit its going to be a gem,and yh at around £500 for the kit now its definatly a once in a life time build Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

well so far so good...........just missing a n/s/r mudflap..........really stuck on what colour to finish the model in.........

hi trunkmonkey,your finish will depend on where it is in service and your model depicts a desert finish as I see the air cleaners on the back. I dont think they were fitted in the European theatre, but I may be wrong. A nice looking build though, very sharp quality

aha! after searching endlessly i too have found filters on European tanks!! i have sprayed the wheels and back of the tank in panzer grey but the main body had a few too many marks which is why i used a plastic filler primer on it.......thus leading me to think it may look good in desert colours.......think i will stick to my instinct and concentrate my time on the watering :-)

sorry 'jack sparrow' upon replying you pics didn't show up! lovely build buspecially at that scale. be proud of that, i will be happy with a finish half as good as that :-)

never use predictive text to try and send a message........my first message was suppose to read 'weathering' not watering!! and in the second when i was talking about scale was suppose to read 'especially' .....oops .....ma bad :-)
