Why is it that the Japanese got carbon fiber waterslide decals with their model and we didn't, and why was theirs complete in 65 issues but ours is dragged over 85??? Fobbed off Brits....again Current builds: McLaren MP4-23 1/8 Aston Martin DB5 1/8

We get the decals at a later date and the Japanese payed more money per issue. I think if i remember right, somebody's previous post stated that their build cost quite a bit more than ours.

Hi there, I think you'll find that the reason the Japanese run ended in 65 issues is because they have a different system to us. Regarding Japanese part-works I believe they are in a booklet form, containing a larger amount of information and parts per issue. The parts for the model and the booklet are boxed. This is the way the Japanese like their part-works. Here in the UK we have a more magazine culture and therefore that is what we expect because it is familiar to us, just as the boxed system is familiar to the Japanese. In our issues there is less information per issue, hence 85 issues. I'm pretty sure that part-works are more expensive in Japan overall, but I may be mistaken about that point. Perhaps Yutaro could enlighten us? Anyway hope this helps.

Hi I am the guilty one , I did the calculation on the Japanese costs and their build costs around £910, so they get better packaging and different freebies but they are paying an extra £250 for the privilege. Don't know why Deag didn't supply the carbon decals earlier in the build so we could apply them before building the suspension, surly it is going to be alot more fiddly now

Looking at the pack number in the pic it looks like they got them towards the end of the build too! With that being the case I've seen some of the finished Japanese models and they do look amazing Just need the patience when applying them!
