Very nice build and another awesome build dairy Mike!

Will the brass pieces be painted? Is there enough room to get in there with a brush/airbrush?

Hi Stefan thanks for the nice commentsBigGrin

I believe we will be spray painting the Brass etch and in my opinion there is enough room to do this, but we need to do it before we put the deck down, or we will have to mask everything.

I will be filling all the joins with white squadron putty, otherwise we will see every join when we add paint.

Thank you for your question I hope my answer helpsBigGrin Regards Mike

You know how to cut the brass out now, if not please refer to my previous postsBigGrin

I found it is very important to make sure you have taken off the burrs (where the brass part is attached to the fret) on this issue as I nearly left some on and just in time I remembered, it would have affected the fitting tolerances.

I followed the instructions and bent the brass as the visuals show (very slowly):-

Hi Mike!
How are you today? I guess your knife is for surgeon. It is very sharp. Sure, I also think it is very important to remove burrs from the metal parts carefully.
Best Regards,

Thank you Yutaro san I am well.

Cheers Andy, for the supportBigGrin

I used my clamps to fit the brass untill the glue had dried (15 mins) I also found it essential to remove any adhesive overspill from the wood in the corners, bottems and sides, so I could get the best fit possible with the brass. and here is the finished build this week:-

Drool hi Mike coming together nicely with those nice shiny parts(no blood stains either from the burs)

Blushing Hope you dont mind me asking

The gap between certain bulkhead sections does not look very big

so would you reccommend for people who have not reached this stage yet to join the sections of bulkheads together but NOT to glue those sections to the deck untill after brass bulkheads painted (for ease of access)or would this pose another problem
Cheers

Hi Budgie, thank you for your kind commentsBigGrin and no blood yetBlink

Thanks for your question, in my opinion follow the instructions and stick everything down, because we are going to have to fill all the brass joins in order for the surfaces to look good when paint is applied (I will use white squadron putty)if you do not stick them down, your finish will not be goodCrying I hope that helpsBigGrin Regards Mike
