Good Day

I may be jumping the gun here.BigGrin I have been reading ahead and have seen on the Official Build Site photos of the rigging as taken from the magazine. Will there be clearer diagrams/plans to do the rigging or is this what we will have to work with?

The reason I am asking is that on my previous build I struggled to make head or tails of the rigging.Confused

If someone has started on the rigging - what about a tutorial? A suggestion: When doing the rigging, use different neon coloured cotton for the different sections, take a photo and publish it on the forum. It will make it easier for the novices to follow.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Andre
Current Build: HMS Victory

Rigging diagrams are provided within the relevant magazines which are comprehensive and provide far greater information than that provided with the Artesania retail kit. There are no separate diagrams if that is what you are asking.

Hi Andre,
I believe I'm right in saying that in the official build diary as supplied by Tomick, he is building the 'bare spars' (no sails version) so therefore the build diary only shows the 'standing rigging' - hence Tomick's inclusion of the photos showing the 'with sails' version illustrating the 'running rigging'.
I'm just coming up to the rigging stage myself and I'm finding that the pictures and instructions in the magazine are very clear and should make the task - although quite a challenge - run quite smoothly.
happy building
David
