Hi Tom!  I would agree with John those last two pictures really show the work needed to shape the tiles around the bow and stern. A job well done! Yes a little more work to finish, but what a grand looking ship, it’s no surprise you’re in love with her mate!.  Darron

Hello again I was having little brake from copper recently and I thought I'll get the roundhouses ready. I knew that fitting arches on roundhouses will be tricky, and I wasn't wrong. After few tries of bending supplied wooden arches I decided that it must be easier way of doing it. I used the "green stuff" and one of the supplied metal arches to get mold. 1. I prepared some green stuff to push metal arches into it. I covered the arches with some oil so I could recover it later. Othervise green stuff will just stick to them and end of story.   2. I left it like this for few hours so green stuff became harder. After that i mixed another portion and filled earlier prepared mold (don't forget about applying some oil on the mold)   3. I left it again for few hours and pulled our from the mold. Then I used craft knife to get rid of excess of material. You should get something like this.  Green stuff is flexible at this stage so when I tried to wrap it around roundhouse it just fits perfectly.  I'm going to paint them now and when they ready just use superglue to put stick them on. I'll post more pics when I finish. I hope this will make your life just little easier. :)

Ho Jase, I used normal cooking oil. After I finished moulding I washed it up properly to get rid of all oil. Didn't have muvh problems painting it. You can use primer prior to painting to improove it slightly. Cheers Tom

I keep admiring your build very much.
Now that your have finished your copper tile, I have one question:
What type of glue did you use for that?
I am stuck at issue 50 and coppering is still ahead.

Green Stuff is a two-part modelling putty that is useful for filling in gaps on models and sculpting additional details. When the two colours(Blue & Yellow..hence "Green Stuff" are mixed together, they form a malleable putty that can be applied to plastic, resin and metal miniatures and then moulded into shape using a Sculpting Tool. Once it has fully cured, Green Stuff is solid enough to glue other components to and can be painted over. Hello everyone after such a long break. I had to pause my build due to couple house moves over last years. I managed to save everything securely and my Victory is waiting patiently for reunite. I'm sorting my loft area where I'm going to have my cave and where I can start on her again. I'm dying to get my hands on her again and to catch up with everything I did so far. I will need to find a way to clean my copper planking somehow as there are some of them missing and I hope to get them all replaced and finished off. It will take me some time to catch up with what I've done and what still needs doing. I look forward to hearing from you guys. Best regards Tom
