BigGrin Hi All
now to reveal one of my major enhancments i will be adding to the Yamato its a 1/250 scale photo etch set by Gold Medal.I have to say i could only source this from the USA and you wont see much change out of £100 but its what you get that counts, railings chain and solid plus pre shaped sections and turret railings, radars type 13 and 21 ,cranes, catapults, aircraft handling trolleys, gun director details,RDF antenas, funnel cap grills,15.5 turret blast bag restrainers, water tight doors and wind direction indicators.I know that some of the etch is is already included in the build but this gives me the opportunity to pick and choose the better of the two where and when it arises.
As always all comments and questions are welcome
regards
Andy

Hi Andy!
You are verrrry lucky!Laugh Because this item is very rare in Japan. Whenever I tried to buy it, they were sold out.Cursing I wish I were able to use this.Crying

I introduce additional two items for you.

pic 1 shows plank deck kit for 1/250 Yamato. It can respond to the Yamato of every situation other than Okinawa version.
Contact address is info@ms-plus.com

pic 2 shows the set of barrels kit for 1/250 Yamato.
This is sold in Amazon.com

The reason why these items have been sold in Japan is that a company that provided the model DeAGOSTINI Japan still sells the 1/250 model at this time in Japan.

Best Regards,
Yutaro

BigGrin Thanks for the nice comments MWG ,Harty and Yaturo-san it was not easy to source the photo etch here i had to import mine from the USA also i am quite intrested in the etch thats provided with the deck kit [ i wont be using the decking as in building the okinawa version] i surmise its the individual machine guns and some other deck fittings but unfortunatly my understanding of the japanese language is nil so its hard to navigate the site to find the correct itemCrying

Hi Andy!
Thank you for sharing the photos. They look very great and beautiful!Drool
I am now thinking about my Yamato that has already been completed. It has only 0.5mm brass wire for the cable around the hull. I may be going to replace the wire of the Yamato for enhancement some day.Cool
Best Regards,
Yutaro

BigGrin Hi Yaturo
Thank you for the kind words if u need to know what strip i used its posted in Mr T's Yamato build diary i think its 1mm by 0.5 mm as you have said the results are more realistic to the full size as its replicating the armoured box that covered the cable,Also from reading other build diarys when i started this build i never liked the wire that was going to be used so opted for Mr T's solution
