Parts #22 - Contains fuselage bulkheads x6 and machine gun castings x2

Test-fit two 7B bulkheads together, focusing mainly on aligning the holes and that the frames align, then align the third 7B bulkhead. Then holding all three frames together, apply thin liquid superglue to the outer edge so that it seeps via capillary action between the frames and glues the frames to form a single bulkhead frame.

Finish bulkheads 5B, 6, 7A and the combined bulkhead 7B in your chosen finish option (natural or painted).

Start by carefully fitting bulkhead 5B into the fuselage framework, ensuring that it is correctly oriented and that the framework is seated into its notches, then apply superglue to the contact areas.

Fit bulkhead 6 and 7A in the same manner to the positions indicated, and finally add the 7B combined bulkhead to the aft face of bulkhead 7A.

Assembling the machine gun stock - check the castings for burrs, then glue them together and fill any joint lines with model filler, then prime and paint black.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the assembly and gun casting.

Future parts sets:

Parts #23 - Contains ammunition magazine, bulkhead x3, oxygen cylinder and machine gun castings x2

Parts #24 - Contains a wingframe, fuselage frame, rib#5, rocker box x2, screws and fuselage support x2

Parts #23 - Contains ammunition magazine, bulkhead x3, oxygen cylinder and machine gun castings x2

Locate any burrs on the gun castings, fit both halves together as before.

Take the oxygen cylinder, and drill a 0.7mm hole 2mm deep into its end.

Prime and paint the cylinder and gun stock black.

Locate and remove any burrs from the ammunition magazine casting and finish in your chosen option.

Fit and glue the gun castings to the top of the magazine casting, ensure that you have them correctly handed.

Finish bulkheads 5.5A, 5.5B and 6.5 in your chosen option, then test-fit and glue each into the framework noting their placement and glue contact points, then glue them into place.

Test-fit the magazine casting into the frame so that its projections fit into the framework at the indicated position, then glue it in place.

Locate the two suport holes for the oxygen bottle in the aft side of bulkhead 5B, apply glue to the mount points on the bottle and glue it in place, ensuring that it is correctly oriented.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the assembly.

Future parts sets:

Parts #24 - Contains a wingframe, fuselage frame, rib #5, rocker box x2, screws and fuselage support x2

Stage 24 - Contains a wingframe, fuselage frame, rib #5, rocker box x2, screws and fuselage support x2.

Prepare and label rib #5 as before then place it into position within the wingframe assembly.

Use a 1mm bit to drill the marked points of the wing frame and remove any burr from the opposite side. then secure the wingframe to the wingframe assembly with screws, be careful not to overtighten them,

Prepare the cockpit frame supports as shown, by cutting them along the engraved line thus separating each.
Take one of each of frames and position on top of each other so that the lip from the lower piece comes through to the upper. then carefully glue them together to form two individual parts. If you have opted for the painted finish you should do so now before placing them into position within the cockpit framework, this also applies to the lower fuselage frame which will be fitted later.

Test-fit the supports into position from the inside of the framework and position the lip as shown, then glue them into position.

Turn the cockpit assembly upside down. Ensure you have the frame correctly oriented over the framework, then glue it into post ion. Ensure that the notches are aligned and that the cross frames are flush up against the bulkheads.

Prepare and drill the two rocker castings as before, then cut two 20mm lengths of rod. Glue each into position on the cylinders as shown in the steps.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the wingframe, engine and cockpit framework.

Stage 25 - Contains a fuel tank half section, rib #6 7 #7, rocker box castings and a length of oil pipe tubing.

Prepare and label rib #6 and the front and rear of rib #7 as before, then place rib #6 into position on the wing frame followed by the rear section of rib #7, (store the front part of rib #7).

Drill and paint the rocker boxes as before and cut two 20mm lengths of rod, then fit them to the cylinders as before in the position shown in the steps.

The steps say to lightly smooth the fuel tank edges to ensure it is level. I have left this until the oposite tank half is received at the next stage so that the fit can be checked before any material is removed. Carefully store the tank half for use in the next stage.

Cut the oil pipe into seven 10.5mm lengths, then position each pipe between the drilled-out pipe mount points on the rocker boxes as highlighted in step 23.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the remaining oil pipe and rod.

Future parts sets:

Parts 26 - Contains a fuel tank half section, oil tank, flap bulkhead, aileron bulkhead and a length of rod.

Parts 27 - Contains Rib #8 (front and rear, rib #9 & #10, fuel tank frames & fastenrs and canister and box castings.

Parts 28 - Contains the upper & lower instrument panel castings, lens set, instrument decal sheet and a battery box.
