Hi Mike,

I have just rang the GTR customer service and they have told me this is a test subscription and they will make a decision in the next few months if this is going to go national.

I am very disappointed and annoyed that they have messed people around and taken there details/payment details and people my never get this collection.

I really hope this does become available in the next few months.

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

Maybe it was to see the interest, but surely if they wanted to see if people wanted it, they'd advertise it properly?

Too be honest I might pull me subscription. I dont like the idea of them taking my payment details and everyone else's only to then say it was a test

Same here. I might pull my subscription as well.

I just really hope they do decide to continue this as it looks excellent!!

Only time will tell now.

PS I know this is off topic but, does anybody know if there are any other partworks that are like this apart from ships and the DB5?

I've not heard any news but my thoughts are that they will release this once the DB5 build has finished which if they're currently on around issued 72? will be around the beginning of September.
So my money is on it being released around September.

I hope this is the case.

I emailed the GTR Collection this morning asking them for an update and also mentioned that people here and at a site called partworkmodels.co.uk are interested in the GTR collection.

I hope they take note and release this national.

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

NSCXP2005

EDIT The DB5 is on 75, my brother has just received it. There should be another 10 issues left and then it will be finished.

Hi to all,

Sorry for the double post.

I have been in contact with somebody called Emma Thackara from Eaglemoss.

I have asked if this collection will be going national and she has replied with the following.

'We are checking sales now but it will be a few weeks before any decision is made.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
Best wishes
Emma'

I have responded back and made her aware of this forum and another forum called Partwork Models.

Hopefully they will see that people are interested in this collection and make it go national.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,
Thanks for the update! I just seem to get very blunt replies which answer only part of what i have requested.
I still maintain they are stalling so this follows on from the DB5 build which finishes in 2 months.

Your welcome.

Yeah, I now think the same after reading posts on this board and partwork models forum.

I really hope they do release it once the DB5 finishes.

Here's hoping it goes ahead, but given that we have all had such various answers, it looks like this could be a test as Mike suggested. Sorry to pour cold water on things and I do hope I'm proved wrong. It seems the people who work there are not sure what is happening either as they all give different answers to us. Here's hoping anyway!

Yeah, let's hope they do release it after the DB5.

I hope they don't mess us all around and say no.

Anyone else noticed the subscribe button is working again?
I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to check if its a mistake???

Ah, dunno if its my excitement but the top button works on the subscription but the button in the middle of the page still doesn't work.

I have a feeling this one will bite the dust in the UK due to lack of interest.
There may be LOADS on this forum who would buy it, but at the end of the day it has to appeal to a mass UK market and I don't think the Nissan GTR is the car to do that.
The DB5 was a winner as it's Bonds car, and an Aston which is fundamentally British and a World classic, irrespective of who is bankrolling it.
If a partwork came out with something a bit more mass-market (Ferrari, Lambo or possibly Porsche - yes, pretty boring and unoriginal but massively popular) or a major classic - E-Type Jag or Ferrari 250 GTO spring to mind - it would probably be far more popular.
I just don't think the Nissan will grab enough UK attention.
If it DOES, then great stuff but I won't hold my breath.

Roy.

False alarm guys.
They weren't aware it had started working as they're still not ready to launch this build.
He did say it can take a couple of months for this build to go live but did also say it is going live.
So fingers crossed it will be soon.

Nevermind, 4 & 5 came too but there's a note:

"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we have been forced to suspend publication of the series until further notice.
We hope to resume publication in the near future so if you are interested in continuing your collection please contact us at the address below and we will contact you at that time"
