In issue 88 we continue with the Chainwales. Pictures 8 - 9 show how the magazine suggest to smaller deadeyes should be connected to the hull. This appears to be very fiddly (Its bad enough making the 132 straps and 20 smaller ones) I have decided upon a different approach one I think gives a better look as the straps lay better on the hull and they are easier to fit (well I think so)
I have constructed 20 eye pins from the same brass wire as the loops. Although I have spare pins from the build the eyes are too large. I then attatch the pin to the small of the loops. Drill the hull and attatch the pin to the hull with superglue. Its a good idea to paint the pins prior to attatching to the hull if as I am you are painting your model
