Hi Team, this has turned out to be a tricky build this week, as I feel Hachette have added a little extra without explaining it in the instructions, I will explain soon.

This is what we received this week;-

I cut the parts from the fret filed off the burrs as usual, I then bent the parts using the edge of a conti board, as per the instructions:-

Then I came to fit the parts, and the part was longer than the wood it was designed to fit.

I looked at the photos in the instructions, and then I spotted what I think is an added infill, take a look:-

But no where does it tell you to fit this item, so I used a piece of second planking because the infill needed to be 1mm thick here are the photos of my work:-

Hi Mike.
I see what you mean Confused .
I think that someone at hatchette was on the sherry that night LOL .
When i get to that i may wait awhile and see what the next few partworks bring although i think you might be right. I also think that there is anouther wall that leads of that.
This one will be on my next delivery.
Best of luck and regards to you Mike.

We put the Brass part away untill another time.

I cut out the wooden parts, and went to assemble them as per the instructions but I found a few challenges and had to trim the parts to fit how the instructions called for, you will see I had to trim a piece of wood off the spacers with the tongue:-

But all is well in the end.

I do feel Hachette are putting us through an IQ test with these instructions, sometimes I feel they think we should know what is coming nextBlink Questions and comments welcome.

Hi Mike!BigGrin
You've done good job!Love I think this type model is like puzzle, too.Cool
By the way I also think Japanese HMS VICTORY modelers are happy to be able to refer to ModelSpace. Because they can know what parts will come next all 120 weeks.
Best Regards,
Yutaro
