Hi Stefan, read somewhere on the forum, after sticking the tape you first seal the tape with the yellow and then you do the black, I've tried it and it works just fine, Pierre

Yes, that is what I did, as Karl suggested it to me...I had a tiny bit of bleeding but I was able to touch up the areas using a fine brush and a very steady hand (my daughter's) You shouldn't have any trouble remedying it Stefan...You are doing great though mate!!

Hi Gentlemen,

Thanks so much for your support, you've got no idea how much it means to me. I feel blessed to be part of a community such as this.

The painting of the stripes and gun-ports is now complete:

Little touch-up still needed, but largely there:

Thanks John & Pierre.

Nothing like a bit of success and some progress to lift the spirits.

Decided to copper-paint the hull before tiling - got the 1st coat on last night.

Thanks so much for your kind comments all.

I finally found enough courage to start the tiling.

The battens for the topmost layer of tiles fitted.

Two rows of tile fitted to the starboard side. (The glue still needs to be cleaned off)

Welcome to a long tedious task. The tiles are a time consuming job, but look really good when there all on!
The copper paint looks like a neat job, you will find that painting the hull copper will pay dividends in the long run.
I look forward to seeing the finished hull, take your time and all will be well.
All the best Steve..

Thanks tf64, Steve & Pierre!

Tonight I hope to get cracking on the tiling of the keel, but first I have to make sure that the glue I'm using is strong enough.

Had a couple of scares last night with tiles coming off, but it turned out to have been 2 tiles on top of one another!
