On offering up the parts on this months delivery i noticed that the two reds are of a different shade, although the sheen does appear to match. And the photo doesn't really pick it up, it is much more noticable to the naked eye. Now i don't want to appear to be whinging, because up till now i have been pretty impressed with the model. And thought that the colour issues with the wings as widely discussed in previous threads, although unfortunate, would not detract too much from the overall look of the build. As they are on opposite ends of the car. But these two parts sit right on top of each other, so it really does stand out like a sore thumb. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just a dodgy batch ??? A slightly deflated Chris

I've got the same, noticed it when I was lining parts up the other night I've got a feeling that our "rocket red" areas are all going to be different at this stage and that the fix provided for the initial colour mis-match will be applied to all areas We'll just have to wait and see The Brawn BuildWentworth Court Dolls HouseThe MP4/4 Build[ulr=http://forum.deagostini.co.uk/default.aspx?g=posts&t=36693]The 97T Build[/url]

Im not one for moaning either but that does look very cheap to say the least. Im glad I decided early that I was going to respray the whole things..... it may also explain why a lot of the Japanese builders have gone back to scratch. I was reading one blog the other day and providing the translation was right he was saying he didn't plan to respray but felt the need to.... didn't say what the need was though. Feel sorry for you guys who aren't respraying. Building the McLaren MP4-23

Yes exactly the same thing that I've got http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=4438.
I don't think its the wings that are the wrong colour but all of the different parts on the sides of the car. On yours has the lighter red part got more of a gloss as well?

roymattblack wrote:I said this some time ago in a different thread. The wings may be satin, but they are RED. The side parts are a horrible salmon pinkish-red, just like the supposed 'red' number 22 on the nose. Personally I think it's the body parts that need sorting out, not the front and rear wings. Mind you, after the last war I caused, I'll await developments from DeAg/Kyosho before making any further comments. Roy.

I've just had a look at mine together and they seem to be fine in terms of colour match! Can't see the difference. From looking at the picture above, the light does appear to be having an effect!

Lets wait and see what DeAg suggest. I think we've all done our fair share of complaining. Admin etc know the general feelings by now and hopefully will sort it all. On a more cheery note: I can hardly believe we're getting near issue 70 already!!!! Where has a year gone???? Soon be finished, then I can get started.
