thanks to you guy'sBigGrin keep the comment's coming,
would like to say at this point, which was not covered by s.o.b's build, which I would have loved to have known before I started the shrouds and ratlines, the patterns given by the magazine for doing the ratlines would have been invaluable for setting up the shrouds and keeping them inline.so anyone who has NOT fixed there shrouds yet use these patterns, because it will be so much easier to line up,as sob's build is so accurate he probably didn't need to do it with the patterns anyway, but for us mortals every bit of help helps.
Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory
Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat.

Hi Karl! Cool

Nice work there mate! I do like the fire buckets they give that extra detail to your ship.

Fitting shrouds and ratlines is a time taking job. I had to reduce the patterns between 2% & 5% to get the correct fit, you do need the patterns for the ratlines and they do help you to keep the shrouds inline while fitting the ratlines, as you know the shrouds do pull in and need to be adjusted out to keep them inline, especially if you are putting the ratlines through the shrouds with a needle.

Keep up the good work Karl! ThumpUp

thanks darren and jonny, yes darren I found the same, but if I had had the pattern earlier, the shrouds would have been easier,so when you fixed the deadeyes you could adjust the slots to make them dead on,and help with the orientation of the deadeye supports.so you guys who have not got that far listen up,you can use the patterns for 1.lining up the slots on the deadeye supports(can't remember the name for them)2,marking the futtock position.
3.getting the gap right between the top and bottom deadeyes.4. positioning of the futtock deadeyes also on the fighting top.phew that all for now.
