scotty2hotty wrote:Hi guys. i know some people were interested in decals for hamiltons helmet, or having a helmet made up. some of you may have heard of sean mills, a very skilled guy who makes figures. i have bought a few from him before and the quality is amazing. he told me he can do a sheet of helmet decals for £10, or a helmet for £25 (not including the price of postage) he is based in marbella, but from my past experience, the postage rates were very reasonable. i know he has done 1:8 figures but cant remember how much they were, and im waiting for him to get back to me. check out his website http://www.seanmillsmotorracingfigurines.com/
if you contact him, mention the forum Hi, DeAgostini just want to clarify that our legal counsel has advised that any reproduction of McLaren products and designs need McLarens explicit consent. If anyone is producing helmets or any other McLaren products with the intention to sell to others, this is clearly an infringement of McLarens rights. Thanks Admin.

One thing I would like to know is how companies such as f'artifice and other decal companies are able to produce and sell the decals, that have got copyrighted material such as logos on. Ill just make a helmet from scratch and recreate that one then its all copyrighted to me. Building the McLaren MP4-23

Correct, for yourself it's generally acceptable. But to copy for the purpose of selling, permission must be sought, which generally means a fee.

Ain't nothing wrong with someone making a 1-8 scale chrome helmet with black visor as long as its not sold as a mclaren product. People would have to sort the decals and apply them themselves (hint hint) CURRENT BUILDS
