Up to Issue 88/89 now and I must admit there are, and no doubt will be times when I think will I ever finish.
The Bowsprit is another part where Patients and Tenacity are required and perhaps some ingenuity.
Rather than use the black thread to make the bindings I use strips of masking tape which when painted look more like the metal straps of the original. I used the same method on all the masts and am pleased with the results.
Now onto the Jib Boom amd once again we have to construct an octagonal section. The 5mm dowel supplied with my build was of an irregular shape and poor quality. I cant wait for a replacement and have some 5mm dowel which I have used instead. even so the wood because of it size is fragile and I did not want to further reduce it size to construct the octagonal section. So here is my answer which I also used on the topgallants.
Cut a small length of 8mm dowel and drill a 5mm hole through the center.
Shape the octogan and when complete slide onto the 5mm Jib Boom and glue in place. Just the answer if like be you have sausage fingers
As always constructive critisim is welcombe
