Well there we go..! Hopefully now we can all put this to bed. End of subject.
I for one will be more than happy to build to the end, tinker a bit here and there, and get it finished and enjoy it for what it is.... A REPRESENTATION of a race car, nothing more..
But it's still going to look fantastic..

I'm sorry Roy but I'm afraid your wrong, my understanding from a credible source is that McLaren have approved this model at all stages of production right up to its current form. Are you going to tell McLaren they don't know the colour of their own car?

This issue has been subject to an exhaustive investigation, and the model has been examined and approved by McLaren.

As far as I can remember, McLaren don't paint their cars in several different shades of red.
Just because McLaren 'approved' it, doesn't make it right!
Even the Revell 1/24 plastic kit of the MP4-24 has decals all the same colour - and that costs under £20!!!
It's funny how we now have 'solution' and people are DEFENDING this shambles!
The kit is WRONG!
There are several DIFFERENT shades of red, which is WRONG!
I don't care if the QUEEN has said 'It's OK'.
It's WRONG!
However, as I said, 'Hate to say I told you so'.
I was expecting to sort it myself, and I will.
It's still a great model.

Roy

Having spent a considerable amount of time discussing with Kyosho the queries raised by customers on this forum, we have been advised that any colour variances which customers may have experienced are a result of the different types of material used in the production of the MP4-23.
Kyosho worked very closely with McLaren to produce this model and naturally we want to use the best materials possible for the model. We must emphasise that many of the parts issued to date will require finishing to the extent that decals will need to be applied, which is dealt with in later issues.
Therefore, we believe that upon completion of your build, you will be extremely happy with your model but if you continue to have any queries after this time, then we will be happy to answer them.

Thanks

Admin

Admin...would you please explain further 'therefore we believe that upon completion of your build, you will be extremely happy with your model' (quote) Why is this ? What exactly is coming our way ?

Is this hinting that maybe there will be 'correct' colour decals to apply as I suggested?

I must admit, im glad i got the replacement issues for the front and back so at least i can play around with getting a shine on them!

Also, a question for Tomick or Admin. Is there going to be instructions in the last magazine for top coating the model like in the Japanese version?

Thanks
