week 77,and it all starts here this week,two solid days work(20hrs).started by making the chess trees,these required some work as I didn't make them as mag,I built them up from 5x1mm.to get the slot nice and clean.   next it was painting the hinges for the port lids of various sizes,which were made as per mag.and then attached to hull.this is where the mag was very bad with the measurements,although distance apart measurement were ok the height was not given,so you have to guess it.the same for the catheads and the bumpkins guessimate stuff.not good enough eaglemoss,  next was the steps and the rubbing strakes,again measurements lacking,and also the WRONG measurements given for the spacing of the steps.the mag says 3mm. spacing,wrong!!!!if you want do it the same as the mag. you need 5mm. spacing,if you check my pics. one side I have 9 steps and the t'other side I have 12 and that was with the mags measurements. week 79. Tiller brass handle,tiller hand rails,and binnacle to make this week,I substituted chain instead of the thread for the handrails.the rest was as mag.please keep the comments comming good or bad,as long as they are constructive. btw the brass handle on the tiller,In the mag. it shows the fixing point of the handle as square,when in reality it should be round,so the brass band round the tiller handle is now round.(in my build anyway).
