Dear Shipmates i have decided to have a go at the new Cross section model.Looking at the parts there is a high degree of quality about the model and iam sure it can only get better, the one thing about this model was the picture on the back of issue 120,this is only a digital computer image and by no way shows the how it will turn out, with all the skill's and help on this forum the cross-section is well worth it.I have enclosed a few pictures with this thread, the model is based on seven ribs which are 5 mm thick similar to those on our Victory but built up in sections as on the real ship.Have a look at the barrels there are two sizes the large 22mm ht 20mm wide, small 22mm ht x 15mm excellent quality.Whether you decide to build this or not it will be intresting to see how it will progess

Regards tf64.

Thanks for Looking.trev

Not at all Trev, love watching your builds and this one is looking just as good as the rest of yours!! Loved watching you do the Gallery furniture on your Victory build by the way, very nice job there. I shall follow this with interest as I thought of doing it myself, but I think there are actually better Victory Cross-Section models than the DeAgostini offering for less money and with more detail I'm afraid, though I am sure you will do some more of your excellent scratchbuilding on this one as well to bring it up to standard!! Keep the posts coming Trev??

All the best,

Bernie

Hi Mark,
How's your Victory going all ok I hope, again thank you for looking at my new post.Mark I found building the frame's easy!but you have to keep them pinned down other wise they could tend to twist.I hope you may take this build up at some point Mark I know you are very busy with Victory at the momment.
Regards Trev.
