MWG wrote:Hi Jeff, I am glad you are as excited as I am over the Gallery enhancement. In my humble opinion, its all or nothing!!I would remove it, however it is your Victory and now your Gallery enhancement, and how you fit it is down to what works for you, and what you are comfortable with. My concern would be with all the thickness of the rear Gallery stern ( If you leave the present Stern Gallery on) would the side Galleries cover that thickness adequately? Does this help you? Still fitting measuring and looking what will have have to be done without stripping the poop fittings, I may be able to remove the back because I lined the rear of the wall of the poop with laminate. I've waited this long so I'll not rush into it, I know others may have a similar problem so I'll keep you posted!

UPDATE Hi Team for those who are fitting the Gallery Enhancement now, please make sure you fit and glue the two New Gallery parts together on a flat surface,(also the Side Gallery pieces) so that they marry up exactly before fitting the whole to the Gallery stern, other wise if you fit them seperatly and bend them to fit they may not marry up because each one on its own will bend differently. I hope that makes sence. Plus do not forget to paint the windows before you stick the two halves together. Gallery enhancement arrived safely at neighbours house, our postie decided that as it said do not bend he wouldn't shove it through the door & possibly cause damage so asked next door to take it as we were out......see there are still some good ones around!! Many thanks for all your efforts Mike it looks superb...just got to find some "me" time now that the garden etc is nearly finished. First of all thanks for the PDF Mike and also for the call, enjoy your week in the sun! Just thought I'd post some pic's about work so far on this enhancement. As I explained to Mike I intend to leave most of the original 'rear' framework in place to avoid disrupting existing work, as Mike say's it would be better to remove all the old framework for a better fit, so don't copy my version if it can be avoided!! The brass parts have just been placed on the frames to see the effect, they will be painted before fitting after assembly on the ship. The paintwork is still a bit rough and needs some (a lot) of tidying up before fitting although the brass work will give a lot of clean edges. I'm extreemly happy with the quality of parts for this enhancement. See Ya Soon, Jeff

Hi Jeff! Simply love the new look mate! After seeing your post I think Mike will get more orders for this enhancement. I only hope Mike cleared his inbox for all the PM's he will get, before he went on holiday. Well Done Jeff! And Thank You Mike for all your hard work, in this and other enhancement projects. I haven't obtained any of them myself, but have been very impressed with what I've seen. Darron

Hi Mike ,
your shipment has arrived safe and sound. A minor problem was the postman who did not understand what "do not bend" means. So he gave it a try and attempted to squeeze it in my mailbox. But you packeging resisted.
Just in case you need it again: Bitte nicht Knicken are the magic german words ;-)
Thank you very much for your efforts. I am very very pleased.
Yours, TimmMy build diary hereCurrent Build:HMS Victory
