The two parts are not same size ! Have filed the end of the smaller part (red end) but it's still too long. Have tried to glue together but the the veins in my hands are bursting trying to keep glued The other side was fine.....what's going on ? Now have a throw away issue 64.

I found both sides very tough when I first did the trial placement and was going to ask the same question. I must admit after that I decided to use my super glue gel on this one which seems to have worked fine. I shall use this glue on other parts such as the side pods too to ensure a strong hold.

Hi Skiddy
I too had a problem with issue 64, my problem was the bent peice must have been squashed a little in the post but I only noticed when I tried to assemble the parts, luckily with a bit of care I managed to bend it back into the correct angle then it fitted perfectly, I was a little nervous as I expected the silver paint to crack but it didn't.

Mine seemed fine but wait until you try piecing the lower engine cowl round the exhausts! Its extremely tight and i had to slowly "bend" the exhausts in towards the engine to light it up! Still not sure its gonna fit!

Tomick, advise please Other than needing great care to fit togther, I didn't exerience any difficulty in fitting them togther. Have you checked that the smaller part has the right shape compared to the opposite side. It could be that you have a rogue part?

I have used masking tape to temporarily fix at the top to show that it is tooo long to fit in....even with the bottom filed to shorten it. The other side is fine. It's difficult to compare shape but it doesn't look wrong to the other side. File Attachment(s): 002.JPG (1,186kb) downloaded 172 time(s).

Hi Skiddy, Don't take it the wrong way but it looks like you've tried to get the edges flush which there needs to be a gap and over lap of a couple of mil. Might just be the camera angle though!

Skid, To me that looks like a crease at the corner of the curve going by your picture.. I would get a replacement sent as looks damaged in transit... File Attachment(s): 002.jpg (601kb) downloaded 124 time(s).

Thanks for the sharp eyes guys....have a look at this one and it will confirm...sorry about the chubby thumb. Now I see that as the curve is less than it should be it's making for a longer part. Top man Warty !....now how do I get that issue replaced. Would I think Deag would be interested ?

I'm sure Admin would be more than happy to help Skid Luckily its not a part that will stop your build so you have 13 weeks to get it sorted or take the plunge and get a copy from ebay

I have to get to the end of the build with what we have at the moment but this is definately as Tomick says 'a rogue part' Deag did replace a damaged binder for me without hassle and if they are looking at this they might step up and offer a replacement issue....I will wait and see.
