great to see this started, it will help motivate people, all we need now is for people to post pics of their builds

I am under the impression that it is only for models supplied by modelspace and built in conjunction with modelspace or can you post any model that you have built.

ps I see that the forum is ready to accept these build pictures as well.

It just goes to show that requests are considered before being dismissed, or acted upon as the case may be?
This is the kind of thing that makes this site more apealling than most other forum sites I have visited, and just to consider this site has only been around for a tad under three years!
Three cheers for Modelspace, HIP HIP

Indeed Steve, the forum has steadily grown in every way possible, we're currently heading for 2,000 members by the end of this month, which from a standing start in August 2009 is astounding., and with more countries to come on board in the near future, things can only get bigger and better!

We can't do everything at once and some things need to be carefully considered as they may have a knock-on effect for future plans, but where possible, and if there is enough demand, we will try to meet what members want.

I would just like to say a big thankyou to you all for making the forum what it is, because it would not exist wiithout you, though it would be nice to see contributions from non contributing Members, otherwise when the forum spring clean comes around, you may be perceived as being a Guest, and therefore returned to that status.

Hi Mr T,

Does a non contributing member mean no posts at all, or no posts as in related to build diaries?

Regards

No posts at all.

Non contributing members have the same privileges as those members who contribute, such as being able to access all of the forum, post and enter competitions etc.

Can anyone think of any reason why a non contributing member should have member privileges if they do not contribute to the forum in any way?

non contributing members becoming guests with no priviliges is a great idea.

look whats happened to the winner of the zero competition, i had never seen the winner on the forum before the competition, and unless i'm mistaken i've not seen a diary from him afterwards.

if i am mistaken then i apologise.

i know that there are strict rules regarding competitions in the uk, eg those television phone-in quizes that cost a fortune, must still give free access either by post or on-line, so barring guests from entering competitions may prove difficult, but, and here is a big but............if modelspace charged a nominal fee to join, we could then be classed as a club, so competitions would only be open for club members.

maybe members could get a 'free' gift if they join, ie charge 10 pounds to join, and give a gift osting a similar amount. i was going to expand a bit on this but i'm being dragged from my pc.
Come on you Jimmies
