MWG build diary of the HMS Victory X - Section Options

The object of this weeks build is to form 4 x Ribs from the parts supplied, the instructions call for map pins to hold the parts in place untill the adhesive dries, again I preffered to use masking tape to do the same job, it worked perfectly, here are the 4 ribs:-

Hi Mike,
Pleased to see you have started your build,is it just the two of us?.I know you will enjoy this build it all goes together well in my opinion, and I think a lot are missing out,this model gives a great insight in to how it was in there day can't wait for issue 126.

The object of this issues build is to make the last three ribs which make up the Hull ( making 7 in total )

First up we cut all the parts from the fret and file and sand them:-

Again I used masking tape to hold the parts of the ribs inplace not pins and built up the 3 ribs ,where ther was a join I supported it with a clamp:-

Please take care with these frames they are very fragile, and you could easily break one, I all so removed all of the loose ash from the parts the adhesive will fix better and the jigs are a must use:-
