G’day Kevin,
I notice that my last issue 4 – 7 was not undated on the dispatch section of Bissett site until after I received it.

Hopefully it will arrive shortly.BigGrin

If this is any help, I had to call Bissett to advise them of my change of address and mentioned the missing part.

They have a stack of them on the desk in customer service ready to send to anyone who requests one.

Another new starter.

Always wanted to do this in the UK but things never fell into place for me.

Now I live in Australia I can't wait to get going.

One question; the cannon kit instructions say to paint the parts. At what point do the paints become available?

Townsville pom (Jeff)

The info I have says that it will soon be made available in Australia.

What issues are you expecting from this dispatch?

I had a problem 3 weeks ago with getting Issue 25 from my newsagents which was delayed by a whole week, maybe this is holding back your dispatch?

I refuse to ever deal with Bissett again with holding a subscription with all the issues I've had with purchasing the Lancaster and Endeavour from them. If it even looks like I'll start having issues with the Victory through my local newsagent I'll be contacting my source in the UK instantly.

Hi Jinnai,

I was waiting on issues 19-23 but finally got them about 10 days ago, looks like I am a few weeks behind the newsagents! I have finished my gun deck and am now starting the fairing of the hull, will post a few pics in my build diary when complete! Just had a squiz on your HMS Victory build diary, Your launch is spectacular, I am wishing I had gone for the painted version myself (oh well, I will definately go with paited version on the next model)Did you get your paints locally or ordered from overseas? Looks like they will be launching HMS Surprise soon on the aussie model space soon but not sure if the other half will let me build two at once so I might just have to wait for Sovereign of the Seas to be launchedDrool

Gday Nick

Welcome to the forum, I was supposed to receive the tool kit last delivery but its on back order, I was lucky that I still had tools I could use from my last build, however you will find you might need to add to your kit as the build progresses.

All the best with your buildCool

Hi Tony,

I bought my paints from Cornwall Model Boats. The Caldercraft / Jokita paint set is the same paints that DeAg will eventually supply to Australia. I was just impatient. :)

Hi there,
I'm new here and am trying to navigate my way around the forum's.
This one is supposed to go to buildthevictory Aussie group.
I came in late so am only up to issue 15. I am really enjoying it so far.
The launch was a bit of a challenge and I thought I had done a satisfactory job but after seeing some of the build dairies I still have a long way to go. I used ordinary water based paints and thought I had matched the yellow up according to the printed photos but see from the dairies it should be more of a beige colour
I started on the carronade but you need an impossibly small drill bit for the holes on the brass strip. Any ideas where I can get these?
I really need that tool kit.
I am eagerly anticipating future issues

Welcome aboard Aurelius!

Look forward to seeing some of your build pics soon. As far as getting drill bits for your build there are several hobby shops around Oz that should help you out, if you are in the country though you could google online hobby shops and order through them or try ebay, I suggest you get a few at a time as it is very easy to break the smaller ones, I have broken two alreadyCursing

Good look with your build

Cheers Tony
