Well, the build has now started, in between bursts on the Endeavour. Waiting for some bronze paint ti turn up to finish the cannon. The pieces of wood between the bow formers are 4mm square pieces to make sure all sat correctly. Some German figures I had lying around tipped up to inspect proceedings! Currently Building:

Nice start Gus If you reduce the file size of your photos to around 600x400 they will appear as images rather than downloads

A little bit more progress. I purchased the book shown, by James Sephton, which has a number of interesting pictures and facts. It is a bit of a dry read, but works well enough if you pick out the bits you want. There are a number of different model pictures which I have found useful for reference. The book sounds and looks interesting, I hope to join the build in a couple of months once I have finished the Victory. See you then, Steve..

Hi Gus, I bought the Sephton book too. Nice descriptions of the meaning of all the carvings and some good stuff on the Armaments, the Masting and Rigging chapter is very heavy going though. As you say, lots of nice colour pictures of other models. I love the Ships Boat on Culver's 1921 model, I hope we get one like that .
