Hi Karl, just a thought mate, I was toying with the idea of tubular square frame covered in a thin clear polythene or plasic sheeting...you know, the stuff that gardeners make cloches out of? It would certainly keep the dust off your build...I am not in a position to fork out all that money for a large case either. Just a thought mate as I shall be experimenting with with the idea?

Hi jonny,I have thought about it,as I've got mine on a shelf,I thought why not have a perspex cover? 2 sides and a front,with another shelf above as a top,a wrap-a-round job? worth a thought.

Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat.

this is the third ship's bout to assemble.did not use the planking supplied,I used 3mm.x1mm.it was a bit meatier and didn't need a second layer.comparison with the other ship's boats.

coming up to final parts,this will take you to 118 only 2 to go.

here I've rigged the boat davits.

now waiting for the final 2 issues.

thanks mike,bit more to do yet especially the open part,waiting for the build mag to show what they have in mind.and of course the diarama.still the gunports and cannons to sort.
