Does anyone know if SOTS will have the option of a cutaway section as with HMS Victory... I think the cutaway area is a nice touch on the overall appearance of the Vic....

I very much doubt it,otherwise it would have been advertised, but theirs nothing stopping you doing it to sots. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Totally agree with you Karl, there is nothing stopping me doing a cutaway section however, the old adage you have to learn to crawl before you can walk and as this is my very first build I am going to be rather cautious around any changes being made... I was more curious than anything else.. Still, thanks for the response, very much appreciated and have read through all of your build diary's, so informative.... thanks....

Another reason why a cut-away section is unlikely is due to the small amount of data available. There is lots of historical data available for the Victory so an accurate representation can be built but not so with the Sovereign... The cut away section is a good idea, but De Agostini will not supply with this series and therefor costly for all the extra detail. "Rather try and fail than had failed to try".Sovereign of the Seas Model Space forum: Marcel's build
