Hi Andy! Your works are very fine and close ones. I want to see your masking process some day. Painting of the gun stops seemed perfect. Hi there Andy, your build is looking the business, yeh gettin there mate. Just one thing I gotta say and hope you dont mind but it is a good detailed ship and I think you are on the verge of masking some of this detail by painting with a brush. Brushwork tends to be a bit thick in application, specially on really fine stuff and I think you would greatly benefit with applying an air brush to this one. I reckon you would see a marked difference in the finish and then you would be sucked into the world of the airbrush for ever . Good luck mate and keep it up .

Hi Saintsman and Harty Saintsman the 3 round objects are the 18 inch gun bases Harty point taken and without offence but some parts of the ship would have had rougher finishes than other parts also im trying to represent/model a working ship not a perfectly renditioned clone.I did say that was the 1st coat of grey and this will be taken back to the finish i want before airbrushing, thanks again for the input regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Im a little late with this months issues but i had some busy days lately. The 1st thing you will notice is the deck colour this is representing the Hinoki cypress used as the deck wood which over time weathers from an almost yellowy pine colour to a grey ashen type colour,of course not all wood is the same so some will darken quicker than other pieces hence the lights and darks of varying degrees. This was achieved by a 1st coat of light grey using rowneys acrylic inks 'cool grey' and after a spray coat of Tamiyas 'smoke',after fully dry this was sanded back to get the required finish,i think it turned out quite well. After the deck was finished i started adding some of this months parts the Anchor chain was replaced with a slightly thicker type i had and the supplied chain used as the retaining chains, then it was add all the break water and reels to the deck and the supplied fittings. i deviated alittle here as 1 of the round air intakes was missing but after looking at my refrences there not that scale anyway so i used a couple of grommets [suitibly refubished] to make these parts as they gave the right profile unlike the supplied versions. There are also several hatch and deck covers that have been added but are not showed on the plans from the etch i have.As ussual all comments and questions are welcome regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy! Your Yamato seems also going well as the Shinano. Black wood deck is fantastic. I guess the bridge block will be attached in the near future. I am waiting for the next photos.
