Hi, Thought I would join the build diary, and hopefully pointed in the right direction if I struggle with any aspects! I have done some painting and assembly, mainly the first two cannons, blocks and rib formers, and would have included pictures, but seriously struggling to do so. Photo bucket account opened, URL thingy pasted to now avail! I will try again later, as it is obviously possible, due to all the great pictures already posted. Claret. Tried one last time before posting, preview shows a pic, but flashes off. Fingers crossed!! Also working on: SOTS. Moebius 1/32 Flying Sub with PE & lights.

You have definitely cracked it,but they could do with being a bit smaller, try 600x450,thyats the size I use as do most other people...that or somewhere in that ballpark. Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Hopefully this will be the right size, not sure where you make it 600x400. Cropping constraints have a 4x6 but I think that is for printing. Please be patient [/img] Also working on: SOTS. Moebius 1/32 Flying Sub with PE & lights.

click on pic you want to resize,at bottom left in blue border Switch to Advanced Editor, click on image tab at top, select image size, then resize to whatever you want..dont forget to save! Photobucket now has a limited edition of photoshop from the looks of it so there is a whole lot more you can do if you are adventurous! Hi, i have made the blocks for the cannon, took a while to master, than the technique clicked. very fiddly though, and i assume this will be the norm? I purchased 1mm eyelets from Caldercraft to replace the eyelets supplied with the model, built a jig and sprayed all 100 at one, after opening them up slightly to thread the wire loop on the block on. I then closed the gap with a drop of super glue and painted it matt black. Also a pic of the anchor. I have not stained the wood yet, will wait and see what the model instructions suggest. A busy weekend, taking advantage of a rainless day to assemble the jig. will finish when I receive issue 7. a few problems with warping, but now have the wood pieces stored under weights. Claret Claret, using any picture editing software resize your pictures to 600 by 400 pixels and make sure 'Keep aspect ratio' is unticked.... then simply attach, post, browse to your pic, upload and post again,,,,, job done..... Hope this helps.... You can also hover the pointer over your pic and right click, select edit then carry on the above..... just another tip.. You don't need to use Photobucket or anything else for that matter....

Your picture in post 12 is ideal, I had a lot of trouble at the start trying to get the pictures up too, but you soon work it out, and it's well worth the effort. You work is looking really clean.

Hi, I have opted for the mods Mike has recommended and done with balsa wood. As this is my first wooded ship, anything that makes things easier long term can not be bad. The thought of the planking does seem daunting This is my attempt of the bow. I hope you like. Also working on: SOTS. Moebius 1/32 Flying Sub with PE & lights.

Nice work on the Bow. Planking is only daunting in that it takes a lot of time to do properly.
