As a relative newcomer, i just want to advise all the non modellers who are undertaking this build and are worried about clear coating (Glossing) your models.
being an avid follower of Warthogs (spencers) build diary i found that my bottom jaw seemed to spend far to long on the floor whilst reading his diary. anyway i took the leap and decided to go for the full chrome myself.
not an easy decision with a £700 model but believe me the chrome is amazing and well worth the jump, but every time i put the gloss coat on it, it just seemed to destroy the finish Mad I was using the same product to gloss coat it so why was this happening. Any way poor spence had a few private messages from myself requesting advice! get some johnsons Klear floor polish was the advise ??? weird but what the heck ive got nothing to lose. well i did and well this stuff is amazing, ive brushed it on, wiped it on & airbrushed it on, results are perfect every time and a light buff with a cloth really brings out the shine. so my advise is "dont spray your model with gloss clear paint" just wipe or brush on this johnsons Klear floor polish BigGrin. i know all the modeler's out there will be saying "yeah we know about this stuff" but this is advice from an amateur to an amateur, i think this stuff is great and thanks to the advice from spence my model is going to look fantastic
thanks Spence, your an inspiration

Before and after pics?

I picked up some myself recently, but would be interested in seeing the results

Gives me something to aim for!

Good idea! I aim to gloss my model within the next month.
