Hi all again, two photos of the ronseal filler before sanding, nearly covered it all  this stuff dries quickish. more sanding tomorrow. Some pieces have fell off,me being clumsy, easy put back on though. cheers rob sandnesspeats attached the following image(s):

Hi folks!! I think I have finished sanding,the white blemishes is filler but very slight, the brown ones is the glue and sawdust(mixed) Does anybody think that a dark varnish would hide the filler?? or would you recommend painting it. Why dont you copper it. If you got that smooth it will be a doddle and it wont half look the buis .iness HMS Surprise

I am just not sure about the copper finish,I suppose it would hide all the miscolours,see when i come to it cheers rob

Its not there to hide anything, it is a fantastic finish in its own right.
Stain is an option perhaps but copper paint, never.

Have a look at cornwallmodels site. That will give you an idea and on that scale you might be looking at 1000 at least but I dont know HMS Surprise

Hi Rob, £59.99 from the DeAgostini web site with free P&P. Sounds alot but you get approx 4500 tiles so it's 0.013p per tile. Just got mine deliveried this week small package but the tiles look good quality. Take a look here on my build dairy bottom of the page. Hope that helps . hi all, sorry for being a pest Has anybody had this problem trying to fit this bow stem and there is a gap in the middle,do I just keep taking it down until it is flush??. thanks again. rob sandnesspeats attached the following image(s):
