Thanks Peter. I managed to fit 8 tiles to the bottom part of the keel last night. At first I filed them to size, but this proved most tedious and not very accurate - even holding the tiles in a little jig didn't help. I ended up cutting little strip off the side with scissors and then trimming it with the knife. Now that I have the 'hang' of it, it should go a little faster.

Good looking job there Stephan. Can imagine it must have been very tedious and pushing your patience to the limit. As the saying goes "where there is a will there is a way". Tiles look Good I have nearly compleated tiles (thankfully) and I have found scissors the easiest way of cutting tiles to size. J “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Looks great! I hope you find a way to clean the "discoloured" parts. I plan to tile my hull as well, so am very interested, if there is a solution for this problem. Greetings, Walter Greetings, Walter

Thanks so much Walter, Ian and Chris for your most gracious comments! A bit of progress on the rudder: View from the front (side that will face the hull). You can see the areas that needs to be touched up where a file was used to get the tiles flush with the 'pintle' gaps. Bottom view:
