I wonder if Mr T or Admin can provide a view of the completed hull with all frames and decks in place before planking. This would enable me to plan the modifications I need to do to get the effects I am hoping to achieve. Sandy

Afraid I cant give you so far in advance, other than to say that first two decks are in place by 14 and the final frame/gallery framework added at 15, where my build diary will reflect this nearer the time, but in the meantime this image might help...which is where she should be at by around isue 40..

Thanks Mr T. I just wondered if there was a drawing or plan showing the all the ribs without the planking but I see from your photo there going a lot of modifications to add the lower decks. One last thing what timber will used to plank the upper decks. Sandy

If you google deagostini passion you will find a link of the italian site.In their forum there is a section of build instructions.I cant speak italian but its easy to find. This shows the instructions up to about week 38 which is where there at.The pictures are fairly self explanitory. The bamboo first planking didnt get much praise from what i can make out from the member builds and apparently its a real b****r to sand,i think i for one will invest in lime strips.

Interesting thanks, I also noticed that they were having the infamous problem with rib 13, way back in February. Explains why I haven't come across Bamboo being used before, as it is nice and flexible, but as you say ease of sanding is a key issue too.
