Thankyou Rob, yes very pretty cars but also very frail and things like suspensions, etc often broke!! My question:

Which driver holds the rather unfortunate record of having the shortest F1 racing career in terms of mileage raced, what was that distance and why was it so short??

NB: That is the actual RACING milage in a GP and doesn't include any Practice, or Qualifying mileage.

The answer is Marco Apicella,he drove 800mtrs for Jordan in '93 GP but was involved in a big crash at 1st corner, never drove F1 again.

Was it that both years the title was decided to a person other than the race winner??

Could be many different answers to this. Both drivers that won the championship at those races, those years drove car no.22 and both finished 5th to win the championship

Edit: and both were Brits

Which Mclaren driver has borrowed a helmet from another driver, from a rival team for a grand prix, what race was it in, and what driver did he borrow it from?

I vaguely remember this Scott and I'm sure it was David Coulthard who borrowed Michael Schumachers' helmet, but can't remember exactly what race it was??

Good enough for me!

It was Monaco 1996. Coulthards visor was misting up before the race and couldn't solve the issue in time, so he asked Schumacher if he could borrow one. This was of course when they were still good friends....

Yeah, wonder what the answer would have been if DC had asked Schumi after that famous Spa race!? LOL LOL LOL

My question:

Who holds the distinction of being the ONLY Welshman ever to win a Formula One race and also the only Welshman ever to lead a World Championship Grand Prix??
