Hi, I am wondering if figures will be available separate in deagostini shop or do we have to buy magazines to get additional sets? I found figures on alwayshobbies (item 8000 and 8005) but be not sure about size etc. Has anyone more info or insight? Also, I am always to happy to get them from other builders here who don't want them as part of their build. I have children, so it's fun for them......Cool

Hi Skipper

If you are looking to populate your Victory with more crew you could try the "British Marines and Sailors" set from HaT, (Part No. 8098) this set of 1/72 scale plastic figures contains 96 pieces (80 crew + 4 cannon), the two sets I bought on ebay last year were £8 each.
The crew figure stances are roughly as follows:
Marine 'en guarde'
Marine charging
Marine fireing
Marine loading
Crewman carrying cannonball
Crewman standing over cannon
Crewman with boarding pike
Crewman with ramrod
Crewman holding hands over ears
Crewman boarding with cutlass and pistol
Crewman with axe
Crewman running with musket

Hope this helpsMellow

Hi Karl

I'll try to put a link in once I
1) Find out how to put a link in and
2) Remember just where I got these figures from in the first place!

I do know that it was some model shop 'up country, as we says down yer,BigGrin and it was the result of a general search for 1/72 scale nelson's crew figures on Ebay. I'll go trawling back through my mail-order e-mails to try and find the supplier (providing the transaction wasn't before the date my hard drive failed and had to be replaced! ALWAYS CREATE BACKUPS!!! guess who hadn't!

Just to give you some idea, here's what they look like, there's four sprues of each one in the box which isn't bad value really when you see the price of single white metal examples in the model shops.

Best Wishes

Robin

Hello searchers for figurines.
I found the figurines HAT8098 in Wonderland in Edinburgh.
See: http://www.wonderlandmod...sh-sailors-and-marines/

I hope they have enough in stock for us all.
Good luck.

You could be waiting a long time as they were out of stock at this supplier 3 months ago, and its seems that most stockists, are also out of stock..

It is a good sign in one way. It would appear ship modelling is a popular past time. Hopefully they will see the advantage of ordering more such kits to satify the demand.

Hi, hmmmm.... just put my order in wonderland down and it all worked well, so if they come back we must wait......I will wait. Hopefully some orders will wake them up......interestingly they take all creditcard details but say 'no money with order until order is fulfilled', so again.. wait and see.

However, I am hunting for the deagostini figures too...so, if you can spare them... just let me know Love
