We are delighted to say that 'Build Lord Nelson's HMS Victory' will be launching in Malaysia next week. We hope that you enjoy all of the elements of the forum which has been so successful and helpful to UK users, and we are sure that the UK users will welcome you aboard.

You can view the TV spot here HMS Victory Malaysia

This area will be for any Malaysian specific related queries, that's all. The rest is shared amongst the full forum.
Thanks!

Many thanks,
ModelSpace Admin

Hi, I would like to know if the issues are exactly the same as the 120 issued in the UK back in 2010? If so, can I mix and match issues that I get from the UK as well as some from Malaysia?

Thanks!

PS... Am I the only Malaysian interedted in building this? I know its kind of pricey (120 issues x $29.90...sigh)

Hi it sounds as though the build sequence is the same as the UK,(120 issues) and the scale is still the same, so you should be able to mix and match, but check with admin or Mr T first
Kind regards MikeBigGrin

Oh thanks! Another question, is the free toolkit provided with the subcription good enough to build the Victory, or do I need to buy additional tools?

Yes it is, but you may want to buy extra tools, please see my list of tools you may want to buy in my Sovereign of the seas build diary.

Kind regards

Hi,

Another question...currently I'm up to Issue 3, and am wondering, if I could buy the issues faster (perhaps from UK, etc)... I'm getting impatient waiting for an issue every week... Flapper

Thanks

I've bought issue#1~4 at the beginning of this year but out of sudden it stopped Cursing and now it's back again. BigGrin
The only differences that I've noticed is my 2nd and 3rd issues didn't come with tools (small file & pin vise)

Can't wait to get issue#5 ...Flapper

Dear fellows, I saw the HMS Victory in MPH located at City Square in JB last weekend. I was so surprise to see it and immediately I told myself I want it. I always want to get a model ship for my own, especially this kind of handmade wooden type. However I am quite indecisive if I should go ahead to start with it. It is because I am very new to this kind of wooden model, and I have no experience at all in building the wooden ship, moreover this is a highly complicated model (but I am pretty good in handiwork). Hence, I would like to listen to your advice if people like me could handle the complexity? Especially the cost is so expensive, and definitely i do not want to waste my money without achieving it....Looking forward to your sharing.

Hi jifat, I subscribed late November, they said need to wait 28 days to get the first delivery.

They will try to deliver 4 issues at once per month.
