Hello Chaps You may be interested in my set up? I`m using my old model aircraft fuselage assembly rig It uses multi adjustable angle brackets and seems to be ok  This is my first photo posting .....I hope it works! Bob

A great idea Bob to resurrect this jig which is commonly used in model aircraft builds.
Its sold by SLEC, the brackets and self-adhesive grid layout are provided in a kit, all that needs to be provided is a base board and it be drilled.

Its certainly one to use for the 1/12 scale Spitfire build if and when it comes along

The only problem is that when you get to issue 11, (when you start to add the deck sections), you'll discover that this jig then becomes redundant, because the jig clamps are much taller than the keel, which means they you won't allow placement of the decks whilst the model is set in the jig, and won't be able to make use of the jig thereafter unless you cut down the bracket heights, which would ruin them for future use on model aircraft builds.

You are quite right there, Mr T.....I may cut them down later, as I don`t intend making any more airers anyway!
When the hull has a few planks and decks in place, it should be quite rigid and may take it out of the fixture and invent something else!
All part of the fun?

There is indeed a 1/12 scale Spitfire in the system, but time will only tell if and when it might be rolled out here.

Because they developed it and therefore get first bite of the cherry, in the same way that the SotS was developed in Italy and went on sale there first despite it being a UK ship and also the McLaren via Japan..
