Infiniti has teamed up with Sebastian Vettel to create a very special version of its FX SUV.
Limited to just 150 across the world – 50 of which will come to Western Europe – the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition promises exclusivity to buyers loaded enough to part with £100,000. Infiniti says the £46,000 premium over a standard FX can be justified by its exclusivity and the special hospitality buyers will receive. It has a 5-litre V8 petrol engine which churns out 414bhp and 520Nm of torque and can crack 60mph in 5.6 secs and 170mph. There haven't been any tweaks under the bonnet, but a special exhaust system has helped improve performance. There's even a special button, hidden away by the ash tray, that makes the exahaust note louder, which sounds like a burbling power boat! It comes with all the usual toy's, Sat Nav, Bluetooth, a cracking sound system and leather. The only extra is the carbon fibre spoiler – apparently it's a £4,800 option because "some buyers didn't like it". Other Vettel extras (that you don't pay for) include carbon liberally applied to the front and rear splitters, inside and on the door mirrors. The 21-inch BBC alloys are also unique and there's tasteful purple stitching in the cabin. The carbon was designed with the help of Vettel's Red Bull Racing employers so it's there to do a job, not just look pretty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RT8LmpPQ2ts

I must admit, I had a similar thought, it seems to be a love or hate machine and the 100k asking price seems well OTT

Ridiculous money.
So many better cars to spend 100k on. I'd spend 20k on a second hand Lexus is-f. Far more bhp and much better looking

To be honest it looks like a lot of cars stitched together,if the lights were further forward & a little larger it would look like the old Toyota Corolla, back end looks a bit like a Focus...god knows what in between!I must stress that this is only my opinion & that there are other ugly cars available! Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae
