Before I was admitted to hospital with my stroke, I ordered some modelling bits. One of the items was a Tamiya paint called XF86 and is called flat clear.
I must have bought it for something on the SOTS build, but my memory has taken a whack and I genuinely cant remember what I was going to use it for.
Anyone know exactly what it is and what it is used for?

Hi Rob, It's a coating which is used to give a matt or flat appearance to surfaces. So you can paint it over gloss or satin paints to turn them matt. I've used it to remove the shiny spots you sometimes get with matt paints that are not fully mixed. It also serves as a protective coating. It can be used for dulling shiny metal or plastics too.

Hi RobT. Glad to see you back . I think you wanted xf86 which is a mat acrilic varnish to paint over the cannons. Hope this helps. Best regards. Mark

Thanks guys. You have jogged my memory very well I was going to use them as a final coat on the cannons to take the shine off of the bronze.
