Karl, your left-hand rear pillar is not in the correct position, see step 10 on page 10. It needs to be moved so it is 18mm away from the port side bulwark, as the deck support pillars are positioned irregularly beneath the deck beams, as noted in the opening line of "fitting the deck support pillars".
Looks odd I know but apparently is how it should be, unless that is, you prefer a uniform appearance to them., just thought I would mention it.

Have another look at the mag images to double check you have the right beams in the right places, because there is something not quite right with one or more of the beams. An odd one or two appear to extend longer or shorter than the same beam at the opposite side where they should be identical in length and a mirror image

At least its been caught before you decked it and hopefully the offending beams will pop out without too much damage.
Your right Bob, an enthralling build, but not one to build in haste and is one that needs very careful study of the mag steps to double and treble check orientation and reference points. You want to count yourself lucky that you have ample time to put it together which I don't have

This is one model does not conform to the norm, as I have said, you have to read the instructions 4 times, measure and check 3 times then fix once. I have been concentrating on collecting lots of issues, so that I can see whats coming next, it works better for me Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.
