FITTING THE GALLERY ENHANCEMENT PAINTING We now have to mask the ply parts 1a and 1b. please note what we are trying to achieve by looking at my photos and the pictures on the PDF instructions. I have pointed out the thin black areas that have to be painted in yellow ochre, they are 1.5mm wide, and the depth of the window, in between those extra lines you made in the last session, except for the panels at the bottem corner which on the side that fits to the edge of ply 1, they should be approx 3mm:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

It's really starting to look amazing to me Mike. I decided to stick with the colour I originally used because now that it's dry, it compliments the walnut well and is closer to the 'original' Victory yellow ochre. I'm really chuffed with the result so far. Thanks Mike Happy building David

FITTING THE GALLERY ENHANCEMENT PAINTING The object of the exercise is to apply a further 3 coats of Dull Black paint to this part 1, in a way that we can still see the grain (It will look natural.) Take parts 1a and 1b and mask them with one piece as shown in the photo, and paint the area in dull black,(3 coats) this area will eventually be covered by beading which covers the joins between ply 1 and plys 1a and 1b.(please check the PDF for referance):- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.
