Can you kindly help a confused beginer!! just about to start the planking on the launch i have created the frame and need to added the first plank, in Mr T build diary it states not to glue to rib #3, i'm i to understand that i need to glue to the front and back of the launch only and not to glue to any of the ribs? Confused

Hi Tin Tin,
Glue the planking at the bow and to all ribs with exception of the two formers marked #3, otherwise the two sections of former #3 will remain bonded within into the hull/to the planking when the hull is cut free from the jig in Issue 13.

If you look at the step 13 image on page 13 of Issue 10, the two white arrows indicate glue points at the bow, which is at the bow stem and at rib #1 (bypassing the #3 formers in between), and then glue at each former thereafter.

As you can see from this mag photo from 13, the two #3 formers are not within the bow.

this is my first ever build and this forum has been such a help, the advice you and the other guys give has been invaluable.. BigGrin
